"The Spirit of Ohio!"
The Spirit of Ohio is really a mindset - a sense of rock-solid determination in the face of adversity. In 2008 & 2009, during the worst economy since the Great Depression, Ohio and the entire nation was suffering. In Dayton, home of Buckeye Vodka, numerous businesses suffered and plants closed. Family, friends, neighbors and business owners were all affected.
Seeking to be a part of the solution and to help our hometown thrive again, brother-in-law Tom Rambasek, brothers Jim and Chris Finke, and good friend and CFO Marty Clarke founded Crystal Spirits, LLC and developed the Buckeye Vodka brand from inception to finished product. Our dreams were realized in 2011, when we first brought Buckeye Vodka to market.
We believe in the old adage ‘when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and we’re committed to make a difference by investing locally to build a business that creates jobs and make a positive contribution to our local, state, and national economy.
It’s from this mindset that Buckeye Vodka “The Spirit of Ohio” was born.
We’re all vodka drinkers and wanted Buckeye Vodka to have a traditional taste profile and to be extremely smooth. The taste of vodka can vary tremendously due to the types of grain, the quality of that grain and the water that’s used, as well as how many times it’s distilled and how it’s filtered. Details matter, especially when it comes to vodka.
To maintain our high standards of excellence, each small batch of Buckeye Vodka is carefully handcrafted from beginning to end by the owners. We test and compare every batch against the leading national brands, and we will not stop until ours is the smoothest. This personal attention to detail ensures that each bottle of Buckeye Vodka is just as good as the last.
